Featuring Dr. James Enstrom | “Radical Environmentalism in California Must Be Stopped”

Dr. Enstrom, a native Californian, has had a long scientific career as a physicist and epidemiologist since 1970.  For 36 years he was a Research Professor at the UCLA School of Public Health and he continues to conduct environmental epidemiologic research at UCLA.  

He is also President of the Scientific Integrity Institute in Los Angeles.  He holds Ph.D. in elementary particle physics from Stanford University and an M.P.H. in Epidemiology from UCLA.  He is a Founding Fellow of the American College of Epidemiology and is a biographee in Who’s Who in America.

In March he published a very important article showing that fine particulate matter is not related to premature deaths in the US and he is leading an effort challenging the scientific validity of several costly air pollution regulations in California and the US.  In September he was nominated as a candidate for the EPA Science Advisory Board.  In November he spoke at the America First Energy Conference about the need to reform scientifically unjustified EPA and CARB air pollution regulations.
