    Soroptimist International of Oxnard [SIO] Meeting — Speaker on Latest Developments in Cancer Treatments

She works at St. John’s Cancer Center of Ventura County, where she helps guide cancer patients through the entire treatment process – from diagnosis to survivorship and beyond. Alicia will be speaking on latest developments in cancer treatment, and will be available to answer questions on any type of cancer.Soroptimist International of Oxnard [SIO] will meet Wednesday, October 19th  at 7:30am at the Courtyard Marriott (600 Esplanade Drive, Oxnard) for their monthly program meeting.

    Alicia is a native Californian with degrees from Cal State Northridge, UCLA and Ventura College. She has served as a healthcare professional in hospital and long term care for the last 20 years. Joining Dignity Health at St. John’s hospital in 2004, Alicia began serving in the cancer program in 2013. Alicia is a Board Certified Adult Oncology Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Breast Nurse. In 2016, Alicia received SIO’s “Women Making a Difference” award, and in 2014 she was “Nurse of the Year for Ventura County.”

    Founded in 1921, Soroptimist is an international volunteer organization for business and professional women working to improve the lives of women and girls.  Chartered in 1945, Soroptimist of Oxnard provides volunteer and philanthropic service to the community of Oxnard, Ventura County, and worldwide.
