Teen Leaders and Facilitators Lead Inspiring Workshop Hosted by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley

Calabasas, CA – In order to help empower young girls and to address real issues facing female youths today, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley and Innerstar Girl are hosting a one day conference on Sunday, May 20 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the A.C. Stelle Middle School, 22450 Mullholland Highway, Calabasas.

The event will be divided into three unique and inspiring workshops focusing on Self-Awareness (self-worth), Social Awareness (social media/friends), and “Building Your Girl Tribe” (community support).  Attendees will be separated into different groups based on their age and grade level.  A Q&A session will take place following the workshop consisting of girls from high school to college, to career women in a variety of fields.

“Girls in this age group are so vulnerable and have so many challenges to face,” stated Natalie Gonzalez, Club Director & Interim Director of Development for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley.  “This will be one empowering day for any girl in this age group,” she added.

Prior to the start of the workshop, attendees and parents can participate in activities and enjoy a variety of vendors on site.  The cost is $25 and registration can be made by calling 818-706-0905, ext. 107 or online at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdG8AxaL3BXDvZpKZ_jw8_vF6LmnP51jIOjgXUAGi3P16lHTw/viewform or https://goo.gl/forms/97thYaVZ3fTwEqTW2.
