The Real Diaper Circle for Ventura County will be host to the Thousand Oaks site of an international cloth diaper changing event taking place on Saturday, tadalafil April 26, viagra 100mg 2014, the same week as Earth Day. In its fourth year with over 205 sites in 14 countries, The Great Cloth Diaper Change event will attempt to break last year’s Guinness World Record™ of 8,301 babies changed at one time.
“Each year billions of disposable diapers enter landfills where it takes hundreds of years for them to decompose, if ever,” says Heather McNamara, Executive Director of the Real Diaper Association. “Building off the success of last year’s event with qualifying locations in 15 countries, spread across 5 continents, we hope to show the entire world that cloth diapers are a real option for today’s modern families, particularly catching the eye of expecting and new parents who may be seeking more planet-friendly and affordable alternatives to disposable diapers.”
Last year Ventura County contributed 66 parent/baby pairs toward the World Record in the Thousand Oaks event, and had over 100 people in attendance. The official event will take place at 10:30 AM at Horizon Hills Preschool, 33 Greta Street, Thousand Oaks.
In addition to the Great Cloth Diaper Change world-recording setting activity, this event has grown into a parenting fair showcasing local retailers, parenting resources, birth resources and more. Attendees are encouraged to arrive no later than 10:15 to participate in the World Record, preregister at The Ventura County Great Cloth Diaper Change website and bring a friend that doesn’t currently use cloth diapers! Loaner diapers will be available. The parenting fair will be open from 9:30AM – 1:30PM and will include activities and demonstrations such as infant CPR and baby wearing. Participants receive gift bags in return for their help spreading the word about the benefits of using cloth diapers!
