The Joy of Canning
This course is filled with everything you need to know to get started canning your own foods. You will learn about how to get started, deciding what to can, the various methods used, including water bath, pressure canning and tools of the trade. Focused on seasonal foods.
Instructor: Sharon Swearingen is a Master Food Preserver/Master Gardener with the University of California Cooperative Extension. She has taught in countless venues and has been judging the Preserved Food Entries at the Ventura County Fair for the last 31 years.
