Halloween is lurking and Camarillo Hospice volunteers are busy planning fun, creative, fresh Halloween festivities for the Farmers Market on Saturday, October 31, from 8 a.m. until noon in Old Town Camarillo.

Come to the original Camarillo Certified Farmers Market for scary food demos, trick or treating, a fishing game for kids and a costume contest for young and old alike. Activities will be ongoing from 8 a.m. until noon, under the direction of volunteer coordinators Carol Johnson and Sharon Ferrell and fellow Halloween groupies Lisa Aalberts, Kelly and Emily Bennett, Mayra Carabello, Teresa Croley, Woo Ferrell, Colleen Greenaway, Val Harrington, Lois Marcus, Gloria Shaffer, Jan Spasiano, Cathy Trainer, Barb Valdez and Rose Wisuri.

The Camarillo Certified Farmers Market takes place in Old Town Camarillo every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. A percentage of proceeds from the Market, which is all volunteer run, supports the free services of Camarillo Hospice, including care, comfort, support, counseling and education to individuals and families facing a life-limiting illness, grieving the loss of a loved one or considering end-of-life issues, decisions and directives. Founded in 1978, Camarillo Hospice serves people throughout Ventura County free of charge.
