stomach arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;”>The Ventura County Military Collaborative (VCMilC) will be hosting the Military and Veterans Expo 2016 at the Camarillo Community Center.  The free annual event provides an opportunity for veterans and service members to learn more about the benefits, counseling, job opportunities, legal support and other services available to them by connecting with local agencies and employers. Congresswoman Julia Brownley will open the event.

Over 2,000 active military personnel and veterans are expected to attend the event, along with over 120 veteran service organizations and 30 employers for the job fair.

“The Ventura County Military Collaborative’s Military and Veteran Expo is an important resource for our service men and women, our veterans, and their families, linking them with local agencies and employers and I’m pleased to be able to participate once again this year.” said Rep. Julia Brownley. “Providing our nation’s heroes with information they need to access the benefits they have earned and deserve and creating more job opportunities must remain a top priority.”

“As the spouse of a veteran and a military mental health clinician, I know all too well the tolls of war on the service member and their family. As the largest non-profit provider of direct veteran services and programs in Ventura County, the VCMilC team is thrilled to be able to bring together the best agencies in Ventura County and across the state for the free Military and Veterans Expo,” said Kim Evans, Executive Director of VCMilC.
