Ventura County Board of Supervisors

Senior Citizens are invited to learn about digital technology to connect socially, maintain independence, and access services at the sixth Ventura County Senior Summit on Saturday, October 21, 2017, at California State University Channel Islands. This countywide event is free of charge, includes a complimentary continental breakfast and brown bag lunch, and will feature local services and resources available to seniors. Free transportation to and from the event is also offered from cities throughout the County. 

The Senior Summit will offer workshops on a wide range of topics on current technology: services available online, technology for the home, how to stay safe on the internet and what’s new in tech related healthcare. The Summit will also provide how-to demonstrations for seniors reluctant to delve into the digital age. Attendees are asked to bring their smart phone or tablet, and if they don’t have one, some will be available to test and discover the possibilities.  

Ventura County Senior Summit is proud to support organizations that address food insecurity in our communities.  Each canned food item seniors donate at the Senior Summit will enter them in a grand prize drawing. All donations will benefit Food Share, Manna, and the Ventura County Area Agency on Aging Senior Food Pantry.
