    Ventura Mayor Cheryl Heitmann invites residents to provide input on City issues at “Coffee with the Mayor”

    Residents of Ventura are invited to meet with Mayor Cheryl Heitmann to provide their input and suggestions on City issues over a cup of coffee on Saturday, prescription March 22 at Marina Village Shopping Center, recipe outside of Good Time Donuts, 2445 Harbor Boulevard at South Seaward Avenue, from 10-11am.

    “Every voice counts,” said Mayor Heitmann. “These meetings are part of a continuing effort to reach out and listen to residents’ concerns and suggestions. Working together is an important part of improving our community.”

     

    “Coffee with the Mayor” is a new, informal come-and-go monthly gathering for residents to express their concerns, ask questions of the Mayor and provide ideas at a location close to where they live. The venue for the meetings will change every month and will be located in different geographic areas throughout the city so that they are accessible to all residents.

     

    Future meetings include a gathering on Saturday, April 19 on the Westside, and on Saturday, May 17 in Midtown; locations to be announced. Subsequent meetings will include the Eastside, College Area, and Downtown. The hour-long event does not require an RSVP however seating may be limited.

    All City Council meetings are open to the public, and are held in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 501 Poli Street. Council meetings are televised live on Channel 15 in Ventura, and are streamed live over the Internet at www.cityofventura.net/video
