Darryl Vincent, Marine veteran, COO of U.S. Vets, Inc. and a leading national authority on the subject of veteran homelessness will be the keynote speaker. Entertainment throughout the event will be provided by New Directions Veterans Choir, a nationally-acclaimed, award winning a-cappella group comprised of men and women who have served proudly in the US Military and subsequently became homeless. The program will begin with a presentation by the Naval Base Ventura County Color Guard.

Funds raised at the WELCOME HOME! event will support projects that create new, affordable housing in Ventura County. The Housing Trust Fund helps finance multi-family homes for low to moderate income families and individuals with priority given to projects that create housing opportunities for Veterans, Farm-workers, Transitional-aged Foster Youth, Homeless and Very-low Income Individuals and Families. All donations are matched by a grant from the State of California, doubling its value to the program.
