Thousand Oaks, Calif. The 62nd Annual Conejo Valley Days (CVD), May 10 through May13 at Conejo Creek Park South (23 Freeway/Janss Rd. exit) in Thousand Oaks celebrates the area’s western roots and community spirit. The four-day event features entertainment for kids, teens and the whole family including carnival rides, a bungee jump, games, live music and kids’ arts and crafts.

Thursday, May 10 Opening night at CVD is $25 wristband night—ride all the carnival rides you’d like for a flat fee of $25. Also on Thursday night is a battle of the bands—local bands will be vying for first, second and third place cash prizes and the opportunity to play again on Sunday night.

Friday, May 11 Make plans to put on your boots and fanciest cowboy hat and head over to Conejo Valley Days’ Golden Horseshoe stage. The evening will feature country music and line dancing. Whether a pro or beginner, you’ll have a fun time line dancing under the guidance of line dance instructor Kristal Lynn Konzen. Lessons are at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The CVD dance floor is now 30’ x 40’, twice the size as last year so there will be plenty of room for everyone.

Rebel Heart will take to the Friday night stage at 6:00 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. This southern rock band with a big local following is always a festival favorite and will perform current country hits, classic rock and original music. The DJ for the night is Josh Kelly.

Saturday, May 12 Saturday entertainment is classic rock. Performing at 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. is one of the top Tom Petty tribute bands, Petty and the Heartshakers.

Also on Saturday will be Rock Godz performing at 5:15 p.m. Rock Godz band members include rock ‘n roll legends Frankie Banali (Quiet Riot), Stephen Perkins (Jane’s Addiction), Tony Franklin (The Firm), Rory Kaplan (Michael Jackson), Buster Akrey (Buster), Rob Math (Player) and Freddie Salem (The Outlaws).
