WHISPERING OAKS PEDESTRIAN CROSSWALK PUBLIC OUTREACH

The City of Ojai is proposing pedestrian crosswalk improvements on Highway 150 at Whispering Oaks. The concept includes curb extensions, standard striping/ signage, and signage on both sides of the crosswalk.

The purpose is to improve the pedestrian safety in the area, especially in front of Whispering Oaks, and to promote traffic calming. Below is the initial conceptual crosswalk design as two alternative locations. Please note, Highway 150 is a state highway. Any work will need Caltrans approval and permit involving much review.
