    Young Artists Ensemble Presents a Hillcrest Players Production Of Looking Glass Land The Misadventures of a Girl Named Alice

    THOUSAND OAKS, ask Calif. – Young Artists Ensemble’s Hillcrest Players will present LOOKING GLASS LAND: The Misadventures of a Girl Named Alice directed by Stephanie Wilson featuring 23 performers Age 7-14 from the area.   Four performances only will be held on March 15 & 22 at 1:00 and 3:00 PM in the Hillcrest Center for the Arts, order 403 W. Hillcrest Drive in Thousand Oaks.  Kati Angelini will Assistant Direct, search and YAE Alumni Lexi Sloane is Stage Manager.

                This award-winning stage adaptation by renowned playwright James DeVita takes Lewis Carroll’s Through the Looking Glass and literally runs with it.  The delightful romp through Alice’s looking glass land retains all of the familiar characters then introduces dozens of new ones:  a baseball team, a train conductor, a peanut salesman, a Miss America pageant, star-struck tourists and much more. 

                  The Hillcrest Players is an opportunity for young people ages 7-14 to learn the basics of theatrical storytelling in an ensemble-based one-act play where every cast member gets a moment to shine and the young actors learn to work together as a team.  LOOKING GLASS LAND: The Misadventures of a Girl Named Alice is produced by Megan McDonough.
