    Young Artists Ensemble’s Hillcrest Players

     

    THOUSAND OAKS, CA – Young Artists Ensemble’s Hillcrest Players presents THE WITCH ACADEMY written by Mark Andrew Reyes, directed by Theresa Wegher-Thompson and assistant directed by Chris Clyne, streaming live on YouTube Live on November 6 – 8, 2020 at 7:00pm on Friday and Saturday and 2:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday, and as a Drive-in Movie experience on Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 7pm in the parking lot of Conejo Creek South at 1300 E Janss Rd in Thousand Oaks, California.  Audience members can enjoy this production with sound from their car’s FM Radio, or they can stay at home and attend via YouTube Live. 

               Double, double toil and trouble! Trouble is brewing at The Academy for Arcane Arts and Studies since the arrival of a mischievous new student, Mordred. When Mordred joins forces with the wicked young witch Agatha in a plot to take over the Academy using the powerful Master Book of Enchantments (and a Goblin In Training named Bob), chaos ensues. It is up to the Headmaster Merlin, the Academy Faculty, and the young witches and wizards to save the Academy before it is too late!

                   Hillcrest Players gives young people ages 7 to 14 an opportunity to flex their artistic muscles in a one act play providing young performers with a positive experience to increase self-esteem, self-awareness and self-discipline. 

                Tickets are sold separately and available online.  Drive in tickets are for a designated parking space that is at least 6 ft. from all other vehicles.  Over-sided vehicles such are RV’s are not permitted. All patrons must remain inside their vehicles during the event. The radio station setting for FM Radio will be provided at the event. Restrooms are available.  Patrons exiting their vehicle to use the restroom must wear a mask at all times when outside their vehicle.   No more than 2 people per vehicle at a time may leave to use the restrooms.   Patrons must maintain 6 ft. of social distancing when traveling to and waiting for the restrooms.  Restrooms will be cleaned and sanitized during the event.  There will be no concession sales but guests may bring their own snacks.

                The Witch Academy Tickets at the Drive-in are $25.00 per car in the front section and $20.00 per car in the rear section.    Tickets for live streaming on YouTube Live are $25.00 per family. There are individual single tickets available for $13.00 by calling the Hillcrest Center for the Arts Box Office at 805-381-1246 Mon – Fri, 9am-5pm.   After payment, audience members will receive both a Zoom link and a YouTube Live link via email.  Tickets may be purchased online  at www.hillcrestarts.com.
