Narrative:Â
On 10/12/2021, at about 9:13 pm, Deputies from the Moorpark Police Station responded to a traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a motor vehicle. When deputies arrived on scene, they located a female lying in the westbound lanes of Los Angeles Avenue. The victim was struck by a westbound vehicle and she sustained severe injuries as a result of the collision. First responders immediately provided medical aid but were unable to overcome the victim’s injuries. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
At this stage in the investigation, deputies have not determined why the victim was in the road prior to the collision. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is encouraged to contact Moorpark Traffic Investigator Deputy James Cochran at the Moorpark Police Station.
