Zaragoza, first met Miguel in his work committed to public safety, and serving Oxnard’s most underserved and under-resourced neighborhoods.

“I saw first-hand, how Miguel brings people together, I have witnessed his leadership ability and strategic-thinking.  He helped develop partnerships and collaborations between departments and agencies, with business and private industry, residents and stakeholders. This is what Oxnard needs now, strategic-partnerships and people working together,” Zaragoza said.

“Miguel is a hard-working, passionate advocate for families – and youth in our community,” added Zaragoza.

“I am honored, and humbled to have Supervisor Zaragoza’s support and endorsement.  He has always been a statesman in office, representing the people of Oxnard with a high degree of professionalism and with dignity,“ Lopez said.

“John always answered our calls – and showed up. He helped bring a renewed sense of confidence after difficult public safety situations.  He marched with us, for peace and for unity.  I appreciate and share his commitment to the hard-working people of Oxnard. He and I believe that I can better serve, and lead Oxnard to develop stronger neighborhoods and make us the thriving City that we can be,” added Lopez.

Zaragoza plans to publicly endorse Lopez at his next campaign event in South Oxnard.

An endorsement from Zaragoza shouldn’t mean much. If you recall, he was a former CC member during Mr. Sotelo’s tenure. However, Mr. Lopez, not sure if any relation to former Mayor Lopez, seems like a viable candidate who may bring new ideas to the table. Good Luck Mr. Lopez.
