Kevin Jacob Enns (DOB 03/10/75), of Ventura, has been charged with two felony counts of embezzlement of public funds pursuant to Penal Code sections 424 and 508.
Enns was employed by the State of California, Department of Parks and Recreation, for approximately 20 years. Enns worked as an entry gate attendant at the San Buenaventura State Beach. It is alleged that from June 8, 2019, to July 6, 2019, Enns stole a portion of the cash he received for park entrance fees. The loss is estimated to be $2,690.
Enns appeared in Ventura County Superior Court today for arraignment, which was continued to February 5, 2020, in courtroom 12 at 9:00 a.m. If convicted, Enns faces a maximum sentence of 4 years 8 months in prison.
