    In advance of the rainy weather being forecast for this week, the City of Oxnard would like to remind residents that free sand and unfilled sandbags are available at the City’s Corporate Yard. Residents will be able to come to the Yard to fill and transport the sandbags. Remember: taking sand from the beach is illegal and can result in a fine.

    Residents will need to provide a valid ID that shows their proof of residency in order to pick up the bags at the Corporate Yard, located at 1060 Pacific Ave., Building #3, Oxnard, CA 93030. The limit is twenty sandbags per resident. Sandbags will be available during regular City business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and alternating Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. City offices will be closed on Friday, Dec. 13 and 27.

    Holiday Closures City offices will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday from Wednesday, Nov. 27 through Friday, Nov. 29.

    Questions / Emergency Contacts Residents are encouraged to contact the City of Oxnard’s Maintenance Services Division at (805) 385-7950 during regular business hours with additional questions. 

    Please contact the Oxnard Police Department’s non-emergency number at (805) 385-7600 for dispatch to accommodate access to the Corporate Yard for sandbags on closed Fridays, after business hours or weekends.  

    A rena y sacos gratuitos serán disponibles a los residentes de la Ciudad de Oxnard en la Yarda Corporativa de la Ciudad

    En anticipación del clima de lluvia para esta semana, la ciudad de Oxnard quiere recordar a los residentes que hay arena gratis y sacos de arena sin llenar disponibles en la Yarda Corporativa de la Ciudad. Los residentes podrán venir a la yarda para llenar y transportar los sacos de arena. Recuerde: sacar arena de la playa es ilegal y puede resultar en una multa.

    Los residentes deberán proporcionar identificación válida que muestre su comprobante de domicilio para recoger los sacos en la yarda corporativa, ubicada en el 1060 Pacific Ave., Oficina # 3, Oxnard, CA 93030. El límite es de veinte sacos de arena por residente. Los sacos de arena estarán disponibles durante el horario comercial de la ciudad de 8am – 5pm, de Lunes a Jueves y los Viernes alternos de 8am a 4pm. Las oficinas de la ciudad estarán cerradas el Viernes, 13 y 27 de Diciembre de 2019.
