NEWBURY PARK—Thousand Oaks Mayor Andy Fox and City Council members Claudia Bill-de la Pena and Joel Price; Shannon Grove, 16th California State Senate candidate; Ronda Baldwin-Kennedy, candidate for the 44th Assembly District; seven Southern California pastors; as well as Heavenly Father’s Foundation founders Dan & Staci Wilks; Attorney Mathew Staver; and Claremont Graduate University School of Educational Studies professor Mary Poplin were featured guests at a packed Godspeak Calvary Chapel Dedication service that was co-hosted by Pastor Rob McCoy and Steve Rice, owner of RCI Builders (the general contractor) and also attended by several sub-contractors and city staff members.
Sharing remarks at the dedication service were both Thousand Oaks Mayor Andy Fox and Councilwoman Claudia Bill-de la Pena. A special tribute was given to Pastor Rob by Shannon Grove, 16th California State Senate candidate and three-term California State Assemblywoman (2010-2016).

Pastor Rob McCoy has pastored Godspeak Calvary since 2001 with the church previously housed since 2007 in an industrial park at 2697 Lavery Court. The new 18,000 square foot church home is located at 320 Via Las Brisas in The Village at Dos Vientos Ranch. The new sanctuary has a Spanish style architecture similar to the Santa Barbara Mission. Godspeak meets for three Sunday services at 9 and 11 a.m. and at 5 p.m. Church services are also held on Wednesdays at 7 p.m.
The one-hour celebration evening service was followed by a community barbecue where 600 pounds of meat was cooked by Kevin Golin and his team of helpers from the Godspeak Calvary congregation.
