Godspeak Pastor Rob McCoy: “A Time to remember who you are and to remember the liberty God has given you”

    By Michael Hernandez

NEWBURY PARK—”Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love,” read Godspeak Pastor Rob McCoy from Revelation 2:4 at the Sunday in-person services. He continued reading (Rev. 2:5): “Remember, therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent.”

Pastor McCoy’s Sunday theme: “A time to remember who you are and to remember the liberty God has given you.” During his sermon, McCoy referenced another passage with the word remember (Exodus 13:3) and five passages with the word liberty: Galatians 5:1; 2 Corinthians 3:17; John 8:32; Leviticus 25:10; and Isaiah 61:1.

Pastor McCoy’s sermon had five major points:

    1. You have an identity as an individual.

“Do you exist for the government or does the government exist for you?” asked Pastor McCoy.

“In America, the government exists to care and protect you. Government is not the creator of rights. If the government gave those rights; it can take away those rights. You have rights as an individual. The Bible is the source of our identity.

“The church is called to the public square. Yet, secular progressive have dominated the secular. They have built buildings, taken over schools, rewritten sexual curriculum. Does a man in the basement really get 80 million votes?

    1. You are equal with God given rights.

“You are equal in dignity before God. You have God-given rights. Being equal is mentioned in the Declaration of Independence. All men are created equal. We as individuals are accountable to God but tyrants have hammered us to submission.

“Everyone is equal because we are made in the image of God. Only America was founded in this notion that all men are equal.”

    1. You can follow your conscience.

Our tyrannical leaders only “want you to obey,” said Pastor McCoy. “We don’t have a King of California. He is not going to tell me what to do. It is not going to happen. He can blow his trumpet with his narrative of deception.

“Tyrannical government wants the people accountable to them only. It defies God. It denies conscience and surrenders the soul to the state.

“We will either defy government or defy God when government steps between us and what God demands. In America, we’re called to remember that you have freedom to follow your conscience.

“Will we exchange truth for a lie? Will we allow truth to be seared? Who are we in the eyes of God and as Americans?”

    1. You can own property and decide what to do with it.

“Americans are the most charitable people on the face of the earth. We can own property and decide what to do with it. Some 80 cents of every charitable dollar comes from America because we own property.

Tyrannical government “wants to control the means of distribution and that is enslavement. We must push back and stop this tyranny right now. Karl Marx was in favor of the abolition of private property.

“God gave us the blessings that come from owning property. In 1964, Ronald Reagan reminded us that governments desire to take away property.  Private property is a gift that has been entrusted on us, by God. America protects this gift.”

    1. You can decide what to do with your life.

“You can decide what career to pursue, where to live, what food to eat, what clothes to wear, what music to listen to, who to marry, what to believe, what church to go to.

“Again, Ronald Reagan said: ‘the founding fathers established the idea that you and I had within ourselves the God given right and ability to determine our own destiny.’ Each citizen was given a gift by our founders: You get to decide what to do with your life; not the state.

“The state does not control the means of production or the distribution of property. We are accountable only to the Lord.

“Remember, who you are, you have been divided.  It is time to contend with the tyranny that destroys. Remember, you are a citizen of the greatest nation on the face of the earth. God wants you to be free. Return to your first love.”

Pastor McCoy: “Do not advertise with a press that plays Gestapo?”

Why are local businesses supporting “a press that plays Gestapo?” asked Pastor McCoy in his opening comments before his sermon. “Why are you supporting them when they follow a narrative that destroys. Do not advertise with them. Tell them to stop it. We love our neighbors.”

Some “65 percent of our restaurants” are shut down. “The press is to be a beacon of truth now cowardice. Do not advertise in any paper that follows that lying narrative.”

Pastor McCoy: “It’s time for our local officials to take responsibility”

“Our local officials who govern us by our consent are bound by the seven articles of the Constitution and by the preamble: ‘We the People.’

“If they overstep, we need to remove them from office. It is time for our local officials who I adore, to follow the doctrine of lesser magistrate (“the right and responsibility to resist the great ruler”). You have the responsibility to protect the citizens.

“I am sad that in the United States, we have forgotten we are a nation conceived in liberty. It’s time to remember who we are.”

Pastor McCoy: “It’s time for Conejo Valley pastors to arise”

“Pastors have left their first love they once had. My fellow pastors who are precious men are appealing to Caesar. They are willing to allow health officers (to regulate them) to register their congregants. I find this troubling.

“They are yielding to tyranny in an attempt to find peace. Like Neville Chamberlain (before World War II), they think peace is the absence of conflict but peace is the presence of Christ in the midst of lies. God sent Moses to speak truth to power. We need to contend in the public square.”

Dr. Simone Gold: “How much should you listen to scientists?”

“How much should you listen to scientists?” asked special guest (11 a.m. service) Dr. Simone Gold, a Los Angeles-based emergency physician (she lost her job and has been censored by Big Tech and mainstream media) who leads a group called “America’s Frontline Doctors.”

Dr. Gold referenced what happened in Germany during World War II when Nazis sterilized and killed millions “in the name of public health for the greater good. This hyper reliance on scientists is happening today with COVID-19. Human freedom is in more jeopardy than in 1940. Unlike 1940, propaganda is seeping the entire globe.

“There is absolutely no reason to live in fear. The way forward will not come from scientists. We need to be informed.”

The Nazi’s killed in the name of public health. Epidemiologists are trying to save lives. Has the insanity really gotten to this point? This is lunacy.

    1. Words have absolute meaning.

    2. The Nazis murdered in the name of public health.

    3. Too many ‘Epidemiologists’ are legitimizing lockdowns that have now produced deaths of despair rivaling the (much inflated) virus death toll numbers.
