VENTURA—“We are at the epicenter for the resistance in Re-Opening California,” said Godspeak Pastor Rob McCoy during Thursday’s Episode 43 of Fireside Chat. “We have the right to peacefully assemble, for freedom of speech, freedom of the press” during the #Fullyopen CA rally being held Friday, May 1st at the Ventura County Government Center 800 S. Victoria Avenue, from 12 noon to 2 p.m.
“March to Open CA is about getting rid of the draconian measures that have shut-down Ventura County and is about getting people back to work and contending for truth. Tomorrow is just the beginning of the push back” in a “noble effort” in a “bloodless revolution.
“We stand by those who govern by our consent. But they need to be aware of the power of the ballot box. They need to stand with the people that elected them. They need to yield to the rights of the people they swore to protect.”
The Ventura rally is one of at least six rallies (possibly as many as 15 events) that are planned for May 1st by “We The People” and “#Fully Open CA.” The other publicized rallies are scheduled for Los Angeles City Hall; the Huntington Beach Pier; Sacramento Capitol Building; San Diego Gaslamp/Padres Stadium; and San Francisco City Hall which has been made more difficult because or removal from Facebook event pages. Last week’s April 24 Freedom Drive at the Ventura County Government Center attracted 150 cars (300 individuals). The organizers for the Ventura May 1st #Fully Open CA rally are hoping that Ventura County is the site of the second largest rally in California—second only to a planned Sacramento event in which farmers will be driving to the State Capitol in their tractors.
“We organized this rally as a response to liberty, the First Amendment and to help others,” said Steve Vander Zwaag of Simi Valley during Thursday’s Fireside Chat. “This is the ultimate fight between good and evil and the biggest power grab we have ever seen. We need to stop and think and consider what is going on. Otherwise, our children’s future for the next generation will be obliterated and our way of life will no longer exist.
“Our supervisors have a fiduciary responsibility to protect us. This push back is the will of the people. For many years we have been living in a psychological war. Now we are talking about how deep the manipulation has been. We are citizens trying to make a difference.
Steve Vander Zwaag and his wife, Jessica, owners of Zwaag Termite Control along with Gina Bacon of Hollywood Beach (a business consultant who previously worked at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles), has taken leadership in the Ventura rally.
Speakers for the Ventura rally include: Newbury Park Godspeak Pastor Rob McCoy; journalist, radio host, and documentary film writer/director John Ziegler; Thousand Oaks Psychologist Dr. Shannae Anderson; Dr. Judy Mikovitz, an anti-vaccination activist and former medical researcher; along with other speakers to be scheduled.
A petition started by #Fully Open CA to Governor Gavin Newsom states: “We the people of the United States of America have a right to the freedoms provided under The Constitution and demand our officials FULLY OPEN CALIFORNIA no later than May 1, 2020.
“The cure is worse than the disease. Poverty and civil unrest will kill more than this virus has. The healthy and the able have a right to live their lives with reasonable precautions for their health.”
