Oxnard, CA – Gold Coast Transit District (GCTD) will make service adjustments, a few trip cancellations, and service additions to several routes beginning Sunday, July 28, 2019. GCTD typically makes bi-annual schedule changes each year in July and January, based on analysis of ridership as well as community feedback.
This service change is being timed with GCTD’s relocation to its new operations and maintenance facility located at 1901 Auto Center Drive in Oxnard. While a few efficiency adjustments will impact schedules, additional waiting time at some locations mid-route may be required in order to allow for bus operators to make a switch. Time has been added in the schedule for this to occur, however some routes may experience delays. Passengers are being asked for their patience during this transition.
Gold Coast Transit District’s updated Bus Book with new schedule information is now available on every bus, online, and at GCTD’s Customer Service Center at the Oxnard Transit Center (OTC). Gold Coast Transit’s customer service team is available for trip planning assistance by calling 805-487-4222, Monday
– Friday from 7AM to 7PM. Trip Planning powered by Google Transit is also available online at www.GCTD.org or via the Google Maps app. As a reminder, passengers can now conveniently pay their bus fare utilizing the Token Transit app.
