Good Morning Oxnard Show- 7-2-14 Mayor Pro-Tem Carmen Ramirez & Citizens Journal- VC- next show July 9
Mayor Pro-Tem Carmen Ramirez was on the show to discuss the proposed new Oxnard power plant controversy. Citizens Journal – Ventura County Editor-in-Chief Debra Tash and Publisher George Miller also came on to talk about why and how their new publication came to be and to cover the power plant situation.
Oxnard has hulking, half century-old, white elephant gas-fired plants almost right on its sandy white beaches, along with a small hi-tech “peaker” plant up by the road. Operator NRG wants to tear down the old plants and replace them with a single, much smaller, greener, state of the art gas plant set back from the beach, but environmentalists are having none of that. We need power. By the way, these are the ONLY plants in the county, with no more until you get all the way up to Diablo Canyon- and you probably know what’s happening up there. Bob Allen of KADY TV, Oxnard, CA produces this new weekly morning show, to be recorded at various Oxnard restaurants. It addresses people and items of interest to the community and will have predominantly local people on it. Xerox- SoCal Office Technologies education sector Account Executive Peter Godinez hosts the show. See pilot show June 25.
KADY TV is one of CJ’s two video partners- KADY TV for “hyper-local” news and NextNewsNetwork for national/international affairs.
We have had numerous questions from readers: What channel is KADY TV on? Cable or broadcast? Right now, you get it by going to http://kadytv.com or .net. They have applied for a cable channel presence as community public access TV on Time-Warner Cable, but must first competitively bid and be approved by the city- an exceedingly lengthy process.
