Quite a mixed bag of guests on today’s show, recorded at BG’s Cafe on A St., where the food is good, plentiful and reasonably priced. On the show were an outstanding Camarillo High School senior. two young men Boys and Girls Club employees who carried the American flag at the world cup in Brazil, a respected, get-things-done civic leader, a news report on illegal immigrant housing at Naval Base Ventura County and the proprietor of BG’s Cafe!

This week’s host:

BG’s co-proprietor Veronica Rodriguez graciously provided the restaurant as the site of today’s show. We noted the good, plentiful, reasonably priced fare served in a friendly environment. BG’s has long been a meeting place for the civic-minded. Besides the guests today, we noted the presence of Oxnard Councilman and mayoral candidate Bryan MacDonald and his wife as well as writer and civic activist Ross Olney.
