GOP Attorney General Candidate Coming to Redlands

REDLANDS – Judge Steven Bailey, a leading Republican candidate for Attorney General, will address the Redlands Tea Party Patriots on April 5.

“Judge Bailey is a great candidate and conservative,” said John Berry, cabinet member for the Redlands Tea Party Patriots. “He very well – despite running in deep-blue California — could become the next Republican elected to a statewide office since 2006.”

Bailey, a US Marine veteran, was an El Dorado County Superior Court judge until he retired in 2017. While serving, he established a special court for veterans.

“Bailey’s popularity is skyrocketing because he’s running against Xavier Becerra, our glorious and current attorney general who cares more about illegal aliens than protecting Californians,” Berry said. “Becerra is so nutty that he’s willing to let California become a crime-ridden slum if it that somehow helps him oppose President Trump.”

Also speaking is Tim Donnelly, a nationally known conservative who is challenging US Rep. Paul Cook for Congressional District 8, which includes Yucaipa and much of San Bernardino County. Donnelly, a former California assemblyman, once attracted nearly 250 people to a 2012 meeting of the Redlands Tea Party Patriots.

Other speakers will discuss efforts resisting California’s sanctuary state and protecting the Second Amendment. Petitions will be circulated to repeal the 2017 gas tax and to reverse the effects of props 47 and 57, which eased punishment on many felons.

The two-hour meeting begins at 7 p.m. at the Mill Creek Cattle Co., 1874 Mentone Blvd. in Mentone. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the meeting is free and open to the public.
