Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce and Conejo Valley Unified School District to Host Principal for a Half Day

Principals at local schools will open their doors to business and community members on Wednesday, April 5th.

Thousand Oaks –The Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Conejo Valley Unified School District will hold the Principal for a Half Day Program on Wednesday, April 5th.  This annual event allows Chamber of Commerce members and members of the local community to job shadow the principal of a local elementary, middle or high school to experience firsthand the job of a principal at a local school.  Attendees also get to meet teachers, observe classrooms and get a tour of a school site.

The program also includes a lunch meeting with brief remarks from the Conejo Valley Unified School District Board of Trustees and Superintendent Dr. Ann Bonitatibus.  The program concludes by allowing attendees to share their personal experiences from their trips on campus.

“We are proud to host this event alongside the Conejo Valley Unified School District,” says Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Jill Lederer.  “The Conejo Valley is home to an excellent school district and we enjoy taking the opportunity once a year to show it off to the business community.”

Conejo Valley Unified School District Superintendent Dr. Ann Bonitatibus had the following remarks:  “Conejo Valley Unified School District is home to exceptionally dedicated and passionate principals and teachers.  These talented educators are the face of our district and I feel it’s important that we honor their hard work and invite the public to see firsthand how they make our school district excellent.”
