Half pound of Methamphetamine seized by Simi Valley PD during search warrant!

During the week of October 13, 2017, the Simi Valley Police Departments Narcotics Unit concluded a lengthy investigation into a methamphetamine dealer in the 2000 block of Denny St within the City of Simi Valley. A search warrant was served at the residence of Matthew Denney (42 yrs) and he was arrested for a violation of 11378 H&S- Possession of Methamphetamine for sale and a violation of 11352 H&S – possession of cocaine. He was found to be in possession of over a half pound of Methamphetamine, over an ounce of cocaine, and about $1000 in suspected drug proceeds at the time of his arrest. During the arrest of Mr. Denney, information was gathered identifying an additional drug dealer who was also living with Denney. Phillip Hughson (AKA Phillip Rinehart) (25 yrs) was arrested for a violation of 11352HS-possession of cocaine for sale. Hughson was found to be in possession of over an ounce of cocaine, packaging material, and over $1000 of suspect drug proceeds.
The amount of narcotics seized during this arrest equates to approximately 2,400 individual dosage units of methamphetamine and 66 individual dosage units of cocaine.
