Here’s How Many Days There Are Until The NFL Returns

David Hookstead | Reporter

There are only 55 days until the Philadelphia Eagles play the Atlanta Falcons in the NFL season opener on September 6.

There’s nothing that gets me juiced more than a great football game and the season being in full-swing. Football is in the fabric of our country and the society we all live in. I’m just not sure I can ever trust a person who doesn’t love football. They’re probably a freedom hating communist, and we’re going to be reminded who they all are in 55 days. (RELATED: THE COLLEGE FOOTBALL TEAM WITH THE BEST OFFENSIVE LINE IN AMERICA WILL UPSET SEC FANS)

There’s nothing better in this world for me than waking up with a mild hangover on Sunday, cracking a few shower beers, letting the hot shower water run down my body, taking a few drinks and going over the Lions playbook in my mind in preparation for whoever we have that week. Chicago’s secondary will likely give us some good looks deep, Green Bay is weak up front and Minnesota presents challenges all over the field. This is what I think about when I’m in the shower before firing up some food for the day.

Then, it’s game time. I sit down on the couch and watch Stafford perform like a deity.

Gentlemen, we’re only 55 days out. It’ll be here soon enough. In the meantime, study your playbook, grab your drinks and prepare for the season. It’s going to be a great one.
