Hillcrest Center for the arts presents: #Comedy
HashtagComedy returns by popular demand, bringing some of Hollywood’s funniest headlining comics to Thousand Oaks for an evening of entertainment each month. The monthly nightclub performances are at the Theatre on the Hill at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest Dr. This month’s performance is Saturday, July 18 at 8:00 pm. With a new lineup each month, the evening features several comedians in an hour and a half show offered in an intimate cabaret setting. The comedy show is for eighteen years and up only, and cocktails may be purchased with valid ID. Doors open at 7:00.
This month features one of the most brutally honest comedians in the industry today, Jerry Rocha. His tell-it-like-it-is, no holds barred comedy grabs the attention of anyone who hears him. This Dallas, Texas native has spread his roots to the entertainment hotspot that is Los Angeles where he calls the Comedy and Magic Club and the Hollywood Improv his new homes. He was a semi-finalist on the seventh season of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” appeared in NUVO’s “Stand Up and Deliver,” and has released a hot top-selling comedy album on iTunes called “Take That, Real Dad.”
