Comedians return to Thousand Oaks for Cabaret night of Comedy

HashtagComedy has been bringing some of Hollywood’s funniest headliners to Thousand Oaks each month for an evening of entertainment. March’s intimate cabaret setting is Saturday, March 19 at 8:00 pm at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts, 403 W. Hillcrest Dr. The hour and a half show is for eighteen years and up only, and cocktails may be purchased with valid ID. Doors open at 7:30. Future 2016 HashtagComedy performances are slated for April 16, May 21, and June 18, 2016. Summer settings are often outside, under the stars.

Nick Guerra is one of the most exciting young comedians quickly making an impact in the clubs and on TV. Nick is an audience favorite from NBC’s Last Comic Standing and is the 2015 NBC Stand Up Showcase winner. He made his Comedy Central debut on Gabriel Iglesias’ Stand Up Revolution and has also appeared on Nuvo’s Cabo Relief Stand Up Special. With his cool and energetic attitude, he skewers relationships, family, and everyday life.

Bijan Moustafavi is a comedian out of Southern California, he uses self-deprecation along with personal stories and quick wit to keep audiences rolling! Bijan tours colleges and clubs all over the country. Currently he is working on a feature length documentary about upcoming comedians. He was the winner of the 2013 INDI.COM comedy contest as well as the 2012 Funniest Comic in SD.

Jack Assadourian Jr. was born and raised in Southern California to a Mexican and Armenian family. Jack’s diverse family background, in addition to the family-owned HaHa Comedy Club in North Hollywood, has given Jack a unique stage presence as well as an interesting view of the comedy community. Jack is known for his quick crowd work and ability to appeal to all audiences. Because comedy is the family business, Jack works twice as hard to prove himself on his own in this industry. Jack has been working hard on the college and club scene and is currently on tour with Jeff Garcia.

Suli McCullough is a writer/actor/comedian whose definitely one to watch! Most recently, he was a writer on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno & Lopez Tonight. However, you probably know him best as “Mouse” on “The Jamie Foxx Show” or “Crazy Legs” (The dude in the wheelchair!) in the Wayans Bros. spoof, “Don’t be a Menace to South Central while Drinking your Juice in The Hood”. Born in Los Angeles, raised in Northern California, Suli McCullough’s stand-up career began while he was still a student at UCLA. He opened for Jerry Seinfeld & was immediately signed by his managers. Since then, his comedy has been showcased on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”, “Jimmy Kimmel Live”, “Last Comic Standing” & Comedy Central.

Julia Jasiunas is the creator and producer of HashtagComedyLA, and each month she brings an amazing line up of professional comedians right here to her home town in the Conejo Valley. A comedienne, actor, singer/songwriter, dancer and all around performer, Julia has performed at many Hollywood hot spots such as The Comedy Store, Westside Comedy Theatre, Flappers Comedy Club, and The Lyric Theatre as well as The Comedy Palace and Madhouse Comedy Club in San Diego, Ca. Most recently, Julia opened for Ahmed Ahmed at the Tahoe Improv! She has also been featured in many regional musicals such as “Annie” with Cabrillo Music Theatre and “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change”. .
