Homicide in Meiners Oaks
Ventura County Sheriff Department – Incident Press Release
On September 28, 2018, at approximately 5:10 PM, Deputies from the Sheriff’s Ojai Station were dispatched to a shots fired call in the 100 block of North Pueblo Avenue in the unincorporated area of Meiners Oaks. Deputies arrived at 5:13 PM and found a male subject lying on the street. Deputies began life saving measures which were continued by emergency medical services when they arrived. Life saving efforts were unsuccessful and the subject was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A person is in custody and no other suspects are outstanding. There are no other immediate threats to the community. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
