Ventura County Sheriff – Incident Press Release
Murder suspect 67 year old Moorpark resident, Elsworth Cadle was arrested after a thorough investigation, following a reported shooting.
On 1/3/2020, at approximately 2:20 PM, the Sheriff’s Communications Center received a report of shots fired in the area of Public Storage, 875 W. Los Angeles Ave. in the city of Moorpark.
Moorpark Police Department deputies responded and located a 64 year old deceased male in the area and determined the death was a homicide.
Information was developed that identified the suspect, Elsworth Cadle. Deputies located and arrested Cadle at approximately 11:14 PM. A firearm was recovered during the investigation. Cadle was booked at the Ventura County Jail for the criminal violation of 187(a) PC / Murder. His bail was set at 3 Million Dollars.
