House Judiciary Committee requests another special Counsel

By George Miller

In an extraordinary letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Deputy Attorney-General Rod J.Rosenstein, The House of Representatives Committee on the Judiciary has requested an additional Special Counsel. This time it would be to investigate what they say are other neglected problems surrounding the last Presidential election campaign.

The letter remarked on “the unbalanced, uncertain and seemingly unlimited focus of the Special Counsel’s investigation,” which they said had “lead  many of our constituents to see a dual standard of justice which benefits only the powerful and politically well-connected.” They want “a second Special Counsel to investigate a plethora of matters connected to the 2016 election and its aftermath, including actions taken by public figures like Attorney General Loretta Lynch, FBI Director James Comey, and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.”
