Inglewood suspect arrested for transporting methamphetamine and heroin to County drug dealers

Ventura County Sheriff – Incident Press Release

Detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Street Team targeted the drug trafficking activities of Inglewood resident Vicente Lopez. Detectives learned Lopez transported and distributed bulk quantities of methamphetamine and heroin to drug dealers and residents of Ventura County.

On April 30, 2021, detectives developed information which indicated Lopez was coordinating the delivery of a bulk quantity of methamphetamine and heroin to Ventura County. Detectives saw Lopez and conducted a traffic stop on his vehicle in the City of Thousand Oaks.  Jackelyne Espinosa was the passenger in his vehicle and also believed to be involved in the trafficking of narcotics.

Detectives served a search warrant on Lopez’ person and vehicle during the traffic stop. The search of Lopez’ vehicle yielded a bulk amount of heroin and methamphetamine.   A second detective team served a search warrant at his residence located in the 700 Block of Osage Street in the City of Inglewood. The search of Lopez’ residence yielded additional methamphetamine, suspected fentanyl pills, currency, cocaine and heroin.

In total, Detectives seized approximately four pounds of methamphetamine, two pounds of heroin, 350 suspected fentanyl pills, one ounce of cocaine and several thousand dollars of suspected drug proceeds.

Based on the investigation, Vicente Lopez and Jackelyne Espinoza were arrested and booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility in Ventura on various narcotics charges.  Their bail was set at $50,000 and both are awaiting court proceedings.

Looks like Ms. Espinoza has flushed a promising life down the toilet. Sad.
