Ventura County Sheriff – Incident Press Release
On 12/15/2020, at approximately 11:15 AM, deputies at the Sheriff’s Pre-Trial Detention Facility discovered Steven Johnson 37 year old Ojai resident alone and unresponsive in his cell. Deputies immediately rendered aid and summoned medical staff. Ventura City Fire and American Medical Response personnel responded to provide more advanced care and transported Mr. Johnson by ambulance to Community Memorial Hospital. A few days later, Mr. Johnson was transferred to the Ventura County Medical Center for additional care. On 12/20/2020, at approximately 9:13 PM, Mr. Johnson was pronounced deceased.
The cause of death is under investigation by the Sheriff’s Major Crimes Bureau, pending autopsy results from the Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office. As a matter of policy, the Sheriff’s Major Crimes Bureau investigates all inmate deaths.

Vcsd are the most corrupt, power hungry, murdering scum I have ever had the misfortune in dealing with in my life and the sad part is ,is these amature criminals get paid to be the murdering scum they are. They killed me once in that sesspool of a jail and apon release you know when I went to do something about it they removed those charges and I was never in custody when this happened! Imagine that. It will ketch up with you fucking scumbags.
