Insanity Alert: Democrat Mayor does nothing as police building burns in Portland; These are not peaceful protests by Black Lives Matter but domestic terrorists

I challenge Black Lives Matter supporters to defend the actions of domestic terrorists in Portland as Democrat Mayor Ted Wheeler and other city elected officials do nothing and blame President Trump for violence in the city that has raged seven weeks (with damages now over $23 million) and included burning the Police Association Building last night.

These are not peaceful protests by Black Lives Matter protestors but the actions of domestic terrorists led by Antifa and other Marxists and Communist sympathizers who chant and shout against police officers that they are “murderers, pigs, and white supremacists” (even to the Black officers trying to protect their city from looters and arsonists).

Rioters broke into the Portland Police Association building on July 18 at 10:45 p.m. according to the Portland Police Bureau while blocking nearby North Lombard Street with dumpsters, which were soon lit on fire. The rioters, “many of whom wore helmets and carried clubs and shields, ignited a fire inside,” according to The Epoch Times. “As the fire was set, some chanted ‘black lives matter!”

Officers declared Saturday’s activities as a riot “due to the violent conduct of the large group creating a grave risk of public alarm,” the Portland police said.  People in the crowd hurled projectiles including rocks, smoke bombs, and paint-filled balloons, injuring some officers. Order was not restored until 11:30 p.m. (45 minutes later).

Meanwhile, President Donald J. Trump has sent federal officers (agents from US Marshals Service, Federal Protective Service, Homeland Security Investigations and US Customs and Border Protection and the elite Border Patrol Tactical Unit) and Acting Secretary of Homeland Security Chad Wolf  to Portland to defend federal buildings, including the Hatfield Federal Courthouse, where demonstrators have tried to make an autonomous zone across the street from the courthouse, similar to one created in Seattle.

“We are trying to help Portland…Their leadership, has for months, lost control of the anarchists and agitators,” tweeted President Trump today. “They are missing in action. We must protect Federal property, AND OUR PEOPLE.”

Both Oregon Gov. Kate Brown (D) and Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler (D) have lashed out at the President for responding to riots in Portland with Mayor Wheeler tweeting: “The best thing they can do is stay inside their building, or leave Portland altogether. Our goal is to end these violent demonstrations quickly and safely. And in the meantime, I asked (federal officials) to clean up the graffiti on local federal facilities. I told the Acting Secretary…we do not need or want their help.”

My question to Portland Mayor Wheeler: Your tweet was made 44 days after rioting had started in Portland and this is the fault of the President. You say you can end these violent demonstrations quickly?  Interesting enough, Mayor Wheeler calls what’s happening in Portland ‘violent’ demonstrations.

Portland’s elected city leadership includes not only Mayor Ted Wheeler, a 6th generation Oregonian born in Portland (the former Oregon State Treasurer) but Commissioners: Chloe Eudaly, Nick Fish, Amanda Fritz, and Jo Ann Hardesty. Auditor Mary Hall Caballero is also included as a city official. Mayor Wheeler also serves as Portland’s police commissioner. Hardesty, who has supported defunding the Portland police department has called on Wheeler to transfer control of the police to her.

Many of the protestors “don’t know what they’re saying” said Jakhary Jacskon, a black Portland police officer detailing his experiences in responding to the violent protests that have rocked the city over the last several weeks and reported by Breitbart News on July 17 and then by Fox News on the same date. They “have no idea what racism is all about. They’re not even from here, they don’t even know what they’re doing.

“It says something when you’re at a Black Lives Matter protest, and you have more minorities on the police side than you have in a violent crowd, and you have white people screaming at black officers. Once again, you have a privileged white person telling a person of color what to do with their life.”

Insanity Alert: These are not peaceful protests by Black Lives Matter but domestic terrorists who are rioting and destroying Portland. Is this what you want? Is this the type of city you wish to make your home and feel safe?
