October 3, 2017 – WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA: Internationally renowned Christian evangelist Nick Vujicic has never been one to think small…even though he was born without arms or legs. Thanks to a generous donor to Life Without Limbs, the largest traveling tent in North America is now based in Ventura County, a portion of which has been erected in Newbury Park and will start welcoming guests October 23.
At 64,000 square feet with seating for 8,000 people, the tent is part of a grand plan to reach thousands with the hope found in Jesus Christ.
“Seven years ago I felt a stirring to pray for a tent…a really big tent,” said Nick Vujicic. “It’s amazing how God works to bring awesome things together so we can partner with Him and expand our ability to reach people for Jesus. We know there are many people who may not feel comfortable going to a church, but are willing to hear a message of hope and of God’s love for them.”
Running between October 23 and November 5, Vujicic will speak live for 14 nights in a row, initiating the largest Christian evangelism outreach campaign the area has seen in decades. The public is welcome to attend this free event which starts nightly at 6:30pm at 3353 Old Conejo Road in Newbury Park. Because seating is limited to 1,000 in this portion of the tent, guests are being asked to arrive early. Doors open at 6pm. No tickets or reservations are required and all ages are welcome.
After November 5, local churches throughout Ventura County are partnering with Life Without Limbs to provide follow up Christian education and discipleship in the tent.
Additional tour dates are being planned for 2018 in Santa Barbara and Oxnard where the entire tent will be erected.
