Joe Biden moves to the middle during Presidential Debate; President Trump: “Biden ‘lost’ the radical left”

    By Michael Hernandez

CLEVELAND, OHIO—The first presidential debate of Election 2020 between President Donald J. Trump and challenger Joe Biden saw an attempt by Biden to move toward the middle as the president tweeted afterwards that he had “lost” the radical left.

The debate moderated by Sunday Fox News Channel moderator Chris Wallace was viewed by many political analysts as a “chaotic” battle between the two candidates that became highly personal with the President attacking Hunter (Biden’s son) while being called a “liar,” “clown,” “racist” and was told twice by Biden to “shut-up.”

The presidential debate focused on giving each candidate two minutes of time on six issues without establishing debate protocols for a rebuttal.  The six issues were: The Supreme Court; the candidates’ records; COVID-19; the economy; election integrity; and ‘race and violence in our cities.’ The candidates did not give opening or closing statements.  Each campaign was given 20 tickets to hand out to guests and about 100 people were in the debate audience.

The Commission on Presidential Debates has vowed to change the formal of the next debate which Joe Biden called a “national embarrassment” but which President Trump called “fun” claiming he was debating Biden and Fox News moderator Chris Wallace.

The next debate is a set for next Wednesday with Vice President Mike Pence debating Sen. Kamala Harris in Salt Lake City with two more presidential debates: Miami (hosted by CPANs Steve Scully) and Nashville later in October.

    Joe Biden Statements:

    1. “No, I don’t support the New Green Deal.”

“Will pay for itself as we move forward.”

Fact:  Running Mate Sen. Kamala Harris (CA-D) is co-sponsor of the

Senate version of the Rep. Ocasio-Cortez New Green Deal.

    1. “The party is me. Right now, I am the Democratic Party.”

Biden Claim: To allow people to have private (medical) insurance.

    1. “I am totally opposed to defunding police officers.”

    “Police need more assistance.”

Fact: Black Lives Matter movement wants to defund police.

Fact: The Biden-Unity Task Force calls for reimagining public safety.

    1. “The violence should be prosecuted.”
    1. “The fact of the matter is I beat Bernie Sanders.”

Trump: “Biden “lost” the radical left.

Trump Tweet: “He (Biden) disrespected Bernie, effectively calling him a loser!”

    Key Debate Point:

Trump:           “Name one (law and order) group who supports you?”

Biden: “I don’t have time” (to do anything).

Wallace:          “I am going to take it back.”

    Key Debate Point:

Trump:         “(Are you going) to do something about Antifa and the left?”

Biden: “Antifa is an ideal; not an organization.”

    Wallace:       “We are done, sir.”

John Brennan (May, 2010): President Obama’s worldviewWar on Terror:

The President strategy is absolutely clear about the threat we face. Our enemy is not terrorism; because terrorism is a tactic. Our enemy is not terror; because terror is a state of mind.”

Joe Biden is on the campaign trail today taking an Amtrak car for a tour of eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania. President Trump has a fundraiser and an outdoor campaign rally at the airport in the town of Duluth, Minnesota.
