6-29-2020 Harbor and Beach Community Alliance charges violation of California’s Brown Act, which ensures transparent government processes and public access, during a regular public Board of Supervisors’ meeting June 23 see: http://www.hbca.info/6-29-20-vc-bos-6-26-vote-ern-extentions/

WAIT After the first VOTE there was a second vote approving extensions!

After the vote and after the next item was called, Steve Bennett made a motion to “reconsider” the vote.

Discussion ensued with the same lame arguments from the Harbor Department that it would be unfair to the developer to not give them an extension.

The argument that all developers would be welcome to participate – if the developer has an ERN was questioned by Linda Parks prior to the first vote.

County Council Mr. Smith clearly stated that the ERN extensions would indeed give the Developer an advantage.

Linda parks stated prior to the second vote that it did not make sense.

Linda Parks and John Zaragosa voted NO but the ERNs were granted after Bennett changed his vote

    VOTE:
    Bennett: YES
    PARKS NO
    HUBER YES
    ZARAGOSA NO
    LONG YES

    THIS IS SO WRONG!

VC LEGAL Mr. Smith says that the idea of ERN would definitely favor party with an ERN!
    Bennett pulled support!
    VOTE:
    Bennett: NO
    PARKS NO
    HUBER YES
    ZARAGOSA NO
    LONG YES

    NO ERNS!
