    Prepares 2200 Meals

    The restaurant’s main dining rooms and patio will be closed until the Stay at Home order is lifted. “We have continued to serve our community by preparing nearly 2200 meals a week. Making space to prep, pack and plan for delivery takes up lots of space! These meals are distributed through the World Central Kitchen and the Ventura County Area Agency on Aging“, said Kenney.
    Kenney is a community activist who owns a restaurant, catering business and bar. These assignments gave her and La Dolce Vita 1901 the opportunity to be involved in solutions that matter. She serves in so many ways to help through this pandemic.

    November’s In Good Taste

    Early in the pandemic, La Dolce Vita 1901 contributed meals to World Central Kitchen’s effort to feed healthcare workers, and continues to provide 1400 meals weekly for seniors through California’s “Great Plates” delivery program.

    With three stories at its longtime Heritage Square location in Oxnard’s historic core, “we have a lot more options for serving customers,” said Kenney. “We’re totally blessed that way.”  > Read the full article.

    La Dolce Vita 1901 won 1st Place at VCReporter according to the 2020 Ventura County Readers Poll.
     
    This was a brand new category this year and there were a number of other great restaurants in the running with 400,000 total votes.
