Lazer Broadcasting Dedicates 42 Hours to Children’s Miracle Network

July 20, 2020 Oxnard, CA– Lazer Broadcasting completed their 12th Annual Radiothon for Children’s Miracle Network, dedicating 42 hours of prime time programming to raise over $450,000. The radiothon ran Wednesday, July 15 through Friday, July 17 from 5am-7pm.

The programming for Radio Lazer (Regional Mexican), La Mejor (Spanish Adult Hits), Latino (Spanish CHR) and La Mexicana (Traditional) consisted of patient stories, parent testimonials, facts and interviews to raise awareness of children’s needs. Lazer Broadcasting has raised over $10 million dollars for the children to date.

Gerardo Martinez, CRO of Lazer Broadcasting said, “These are epic times and we as broadcasters need to exemplify courage and double down on superserving our communities. We are humbled by the outpouring of support from our listeners and partners.”

Lazer Broadcasting carefully evaluated the risks of conducting the annual radiothon during the pandemic and ultimately concluded in executing safely and raised the needed donations for the many families who count on the medical services provided by CMN.

Danny Garcia, National Director for Hispanic Media Partners from CMN said, “Children’s Miracle Network is extremely grateful to our fundraising partners at Lazer Broadcasting and their entire team for helping the kids during the 2020 Milagros Para Los Niños Radiothon! This was an exceptional achievement given the challenges related to COVID-19. The on-air talent stepped up to the challenge and motivated their audience through this historic event. These funds will ensure our hospitals throughout California and Nevada continue to have the needed resources to care for our kids. Mil gracias!”

CMN raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals across the United States. When a donation is given, it stays in the community, helping local kids. These donations have supported research, training, purchase equipment and pay for uncompensated care. All in support of their mission to save and improve the life of as many children as possible.
