NEWBURY PARK—Election Integrity Project California is using the courts to “restore integrity to California’s election process to ensure citizens can, in fact, choose those who govern and remove those who are corrupt,” said Linda Paine, EIPCa President and cofounder, at a May 6th meeting.
EIPCa has been researching California’s voter rolls since 2011 and has documented that until their lawsuit Settlement Agreement, the state and counties were not compliant with the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) Section 8.
According to Paine, “California is not being governed like a Republic, which requires ‘citizens self-governance’ beginning with fair and honest elections. EIPCa is asking the federal government to investigate California’s election process and the form of government that reflects a socialist oligarchy rather than a Constitutional Republic before the 2020 election.
“California elections have become corrupted via voter laws that no longer include integrity, making it easy to manipulate the election process, and minimal compliance with the NVRA mandate to maintain accurate voter rolls.
Paine said, “If anyone on the voter rolls is deceased, they have to be removed; if they have moved, they have to be removed from the voter rolls. The problem we had in 2018 is that 11 counties in the State had over 100 percent registered voters than citizens eligible to be registered to vote.
“Another issue is the huge number of Provisional ballots used in California. In 2012, California cast 40 percent of all Provisional ballots nationwide; in 2016 California voters cast approximately 60 percent of all Provisional ballots nationwide. Not surprisingly in 2018, California cast close to 70 percent of all provisional ballots nationwide.
“Thousands of citizens had to vote with a Provisional ballot either because they didn’t receive their vote by mail ballot in the mail; or their registration was changed to vote-by-mail without their knowledge or consent forcing them to use a Provisional ballot,” said Paine.
According to Paine, Election Integrity Project California had approximately 1,000 trained citizens observing election polls in 2018 and is working with Judicial Watch and Landmark Foundation to assist them in addressing the documented issues in California’s election process. Election Integrity Project California is the main plaintiff in the Judicial Watch lawsuit filed in 2017 and completed in January 2019 through a Settlement Agreement. Election Integrity Project (EIP) was founded in 2010 as a California corporation in order to get the work stated. EIPCa, a nonprofit tax-exempt company, was founded in 2017 to continue the work as a public benefit company. The nonprofit has been successful in raising funds, some of which will go toward paying attorney fees to assist with legal action as needed.
EIPCa recommends that voters vote in person at their polling place rather than vote by mail because voting in person is more “secure” in that it does not have to be processed.
