Living History Day at Pleasant Valley Historical Society (PVHS)

    0

It’s time once again to have fun enjoying and reliving the days of yesteryear.  The Pleasant Valley Historical Society (PVHS) is getting ready to give our children (of all ages) the opportunity to observe and participate in grinding wheat, making tortillas and butter, panning for gold, doing laundry with a washboard, making a dragonfly or button string toy or a corn husk doll or a colonial night cap and more.

We are planning to have around 25 activities and need your help with an activity of your choice, for which training and materials will be provided or by helping with set-up or clean-up.  The event will be on May 21 (Sunday) from 1 – 4 PM at the PVHS Museum and Botanical Garden, 720 Las Posas Road, Camarillo and is open to the public without charge.

Please contact Pat Roth (805-482-3382) or Liz Daily (805-482-1036) or email: [email protected] or leave a message on the museum phone (805-482-3660), and let us know that you’d like to help.
