Local Businessman Applauds Withdrawal of Candidate for County Planning Commission

    By Alex Rey Rivera

Editor’s note: Mr Rey Rivera’s comments refer to Ventura County District 5 Supervisor Carmen Ramirez’s withdrawn nomination of Steve Nash for County Planning Commissioner.

🚨🎙– Steve Nash has given many years to the #Oxnard community by volunteering for different panels. However, he has demonstrated political views that have ended in words that raise eyebrows. Some may see that as a problem for a County appointment.
In this video from May 2018 he calls for the death of U.S. President Donald J. Trump for “crimes”. A key to success is hearing from opposing views and finding some common ground in order to solve the many issues that affect our region. It’s hard to work together when everyone is in separate silos.
    ( Original video source. Steve Nash’s public comments start @ 27:00. )
Unfortunately, this is a bad look for newly installed 5th District Supervisor Carmen Ramirez. There has been concern among constituents that she would be bringing this type of rhetoric to the Government Center.

Trump has released the documents showing the “Russian Collusion” scam for what it was. A scam payed for by Hillary and her cronies. So this Nash fellow insisting Trump be hung for working with Putin is particularly stupid and ill advised. What a nut! Keep that clown away from government, far, far away.

Ill intentions against our great country by unethical representatives have become fully transparent in 2020. Making it our top priority in 2021, the People, to accept responsibility for allowing domestic enemies as our representatives. To why WeHaveRights has created a solution to this disconnect between the People and it’s elected officials, so we never find ourselves in this situation again. Our domestic enemies of The Constitution Of The United States has successfully, without a doubt, wedged a divide between the people with false information and fear tactics to conquer us. When in actually a true leader, without ill intentions, would unite us all for our diversity. We are the ones with all the power when we are united. We can shift the stock market by a combined decline of 54 Billion dollars when the People moved off the Chinese Communist Party Social Media Platforms (#ccp), Facebook and Twitter, simply by uniting after the #ccp platforms worked aggressively working against us removing Free Speech, The Right To Make A Living, Freedom of Religion Freedom, with the most recent horrific action of silencing our President; as far as permanently removing Mr. President Trump from the People. We appalled all American citizens who understand their patriotic duty to rise up through all of this corruption. And begin joining grassroot leaders and/or organizations that are constructive for our beautiful nation and have accepted the duty to continue to protect. We are the new America, a continuum our forefathers work. Join us if you feel alone because you are not. We are cleaning house, starting with our tyrant Governor, Mr. Newsom. Keep up the great work, the People of Ventura County!! #WeHaveRights #LiveFree #Oxnard

Mr. Nash’s overheated rhetoric is out of place in Ventura County government. We can be glad that he was exposed for his anger before his appointment. Carmen Ramirez can learn a lesson: thoroughly vet a potential nominee before bringing their name forward. BTW, vetting means looking at the facts without trying to scrub the social media accounts of a potential nominee.

Alex’s comments are very refined. Steve is just too radical with his New Green ideas…we must strive for a BALANCE between jobs, infrastructure growth, and rapid changes in technology with the environment. The sky is not falling

Completely agree! Carmen Ramirez needs to be disbarred.
What has she contributed to our city as a whole, besides kissed up to false info in neighborhood websites by her cronies? Nothing, just bitches about gun stores due to personal dislikes.
Her husband Roy Prince (architect) gets inside info and deals with friends/family, thru wifey. Harbor Zoom Meeting 1/27/21.
Dirty, dirty, dirty. Why is Oxnard so broke Carmen….because you helped pilfer the General Fund and now we are out $34 million. Pay it back, all you bunch of thieves!

Article is confusing and has obvious textual errors. Article doesn’t say why “this is a bad look for newly installed 5th District Supervisor Carmen Ramirez.” There is no connection made between her and the Trump hater. So rewrite.

Nice to see a government representative actually being objective “for the people” who elected them

People that hate the people that they serve do not deserve to be in any position of power. It is justified that they kicked him to the curb.

You are absolutely wrong. While Mr. Nash does have strong opinions on a number of issues (as do a lot of people posting on this website), he was a dedicated public servant and would have been a strong addition to the County Planning Commission.

I would argue that you are WRONG. It is not JUST a matter of having a strong opinion on a number of issues.. Everyone should welcome different opinions on issues. His words were unbecoming of a potential public servant.
