Local Prayer For America

OXNARD—Al Norquist, celebrated Grace Intercession Day for America Thursday (the fifth Thursday of the month) at New Life Community Church, 1251 N. Rice Avenue with prayers of repentance and forgiveness believing that America “shall be redeemed with justice, and her penitents with righteousness” (Isaiah 1:27).

According to Norquist, “the biblical meaning of the number five is ‘grace.’ “We pray, united in one accord, for the upcoming elections and beyond.  The purpose and hope is that, as Christians, we understand and know the will and plan of God, for success in government systems, for family, local, state and national/federal government systems, including our leaders.”

40 Days of Prayer and Fasting Ends Election Day

Lou Engle, co-founder of The Call, issued a call for a 40-day fast starting Friday (Sept. 30-Nov. 8) and ending on election day.

“There are moments in history when a door for massive change opens,” said Engle.  “Great revolutions for good or for evil occur in the vacuum created by these openings.  It is in these times that key men and women—even entire generation—risk everything to become the hinge of history, that pivotal point that determines which way the door will swing.  America is in a defining moment.  We believe that right now Heaven is looking for those who will shift our nation into a new day of mercy on a 40-day fast.”

“’We the People’” are the first words of our Constitution, which was the foundational covenant document of our nation.  The constitution espoused freedom for all men under God, guaranteeing equality and justice for all.  Yet, it was the very people who swore themselves to this document that also broke covenant.

“We believe we have come to a moment to stand again for the covenant of America and to uphold The Constitution.  In doing so, we must first repent of all covenant-breaking in our own lives.”

“l am calling for 40 days of prayer and fasting and standing in the gap—that God would raise up righteousness in high places and loose another Third Great Awakening.  Who knows but for such a time as this we’ve been brought into the Kingdom.”

Fast Forward America” and “Grace for America”

According to Engle, those wishing to participate in the 40-day prayer fast should download a copy of two prayer guides produced by Dick Eastman, Every Home For Christ called “Fast Forward America—A call to 40 days of fasting and prayer leading up to the 2016 Election” and “Grace for America—A 40 Day guide to speaking grace over our nation leading up the Presidential Elections.”

According to Eastman, “If America doesn’t see revival, nothing else matters.  If America does see revival, nothing else maters!  In this election year of 2016, America desperately needs a heaven-sent revival that results in a nation-transforming spiritual awakening.

“We have created two special prayer guides to walk you through this time of prayer together.  Fast Forward America is designed to lead you through a process of praying for the seven ‘spheres’ of our society.  And Grace for America will lead you through 40 aspects of God’s grace to pray over our nation.  Use either—or both—to guide your prayer time in this critical season.  We are excited to have you with us as we bring our nation before God’s throne.”      http://www.acpr.org/fast-forward

Praying Against Islamic Terrorism

Two national Christian leaders—Jennifer LeClaire (editor of Charisma Magazine) and Cindy Jacobs (co-founder of Generals International) called for unified prayer on Sunday, Oct. 2nd against Islamic terrorism.

“This crisis can’t be stopped by natural means.  It simply not humanly possible, said Jacobs.   “This day of prayer is a Global Prayer Shield.  It’s a world-wide appeal to Heaven to cry out to God  to protect our countries from the violence of terrorism.  We also want to see those who are currently deceived that this terroristic killing honors their god, to have a visitation from the one true God.”

According to LeClaire, “Terrorism is now a worldwide concern.  Primarily carried out by radical Islamists, this is a type of warfare that comes right into neighborhoods and group events right where we live.  Our governmental authorities, intelligence agencies and local law enforcement agencies are working together diligently to root out plots and plans and stop them before they can be carried out, but we believe divine intervention is needed to help them.”

Jews Celebrate New Year – Rosh Hashanah (Year 5777)

Roshanah—sometimes translated as the Feast of Trumpets—is the first of Jewish High Holy days began Sunday at sunset and continues Monday, Oct. 3rd with most public schools closed.

Jews are celebrating Year 5777 which is also the first year of the 305th 19-year cycle (solar years) which was 6,941 days long.

Some Christians believe that Year 5777 represents the Cross (five wounds of Jesus Christ:  the wounds in Christ’s hands, feet, and side) or the five major categories of nature also known as the five universal building principles and the threefold perfection of the Trinity (777) or completeness, which is the antithesis of 666.  Other Christians see it as a reference to the seven angels, seven trumpets and seven bowls of wrath from the Book of Revelation.

Those who focus on the five universal building principles are hopeful for America’s future and see a new season where God’s plan is to take America into the greatest age of building with a new President who is a master builder.
