“Make America Safe Again”

By Michael Hernandez

CLEVELAND—Tonight’s stage at the Republican National Convention was set for Melania Trump, wife of  Donald J. Trump, introduced by her husband as “the next First Lady of the United States, my wife, an amazing mother, an incredible mother.”

Melania Trump Speech at Day 1 RNC Convention

“I am so proud of your choice for President of the United States, my husband, Donald J. Trump” said Melania.  “On July, 2008, I was proud to become a citizen of the United States, the greatest privilege on planet earth.  I will not take the freedoms this country offers for granted.  These freedoms have come with  a price—the sacrifice of our veterans.”

“Donald is intensely loyal to family, friends, employees and country.  Donald will represent all people, not just some people,” said Melania.

“You have turned this unlikely campaign into a movement that is still gaining strength.  The race will be hard fought until November.  There will be good times, hard times, unexpected times.  It won’t be a Trump contest without excitement and drama and throughout it, my husband will be focused on one thing, this beautiful country he loves so much.

“Ladies and gentleman, Donald J. Trump is ready to serve and lead this country as the next President o the United States.”

Speaking prior to Melania Trump was former New York Mayor Rudy Guiliani, a long-time friend of Donald Trump, who focused on the evening’s message of “Make America Safe Again.”

“The vast amount of Americans do not feel safe, they fear for themselves,” said Guiliani.  “In the last seven months there have been five major Islamic terrorist attacks on us and our allies.  We must not be afraid to define our enemy.   They are Islamic terrorist extremists.    Failing to identify them, maligns good Muslims around the world.  These Islamic terrorist extremists are killing more Muslims than anyone else.”

“Yet, when we had an attack in San Bernardino, California, President Barack Obama called this workplace violence.  This is why our enemies call us weak and vulnerable.”

“We must commit ourselves into unconditional victory against them.  This includes undoing the worst deal—the Obama Nuclear Agreement with Iran which will eventually allow them to become a nuclear power.   We put billions of dollars back into a country that is the world’s largest supporter of terrorists.  Are we crazy?”

“The Clinton and Obama administration have lied.  Hillary Clinton lied directly to the families of people killed.  Who would trust Hillary Clinton to protect them.  I wouldn’t.  Would you?

“Hillary’s experience is the basis for her campaign.  Her experience is why she should not be President of the United States.

“Donald Trump is the agent of change and he will be the leader we need.  He will make America great once again.   Vote for Donald Trump for a safer America.”

Sheriff David Clarke, Jr., from Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, opened his statements early Monday evening, by declaring “Blue live smatter in America.”  Clarke said, “We can’t be great if we don’t feel safe in our homes, streets and schools.”  Safety is dependent on society rules—“a code of where we collectively ensure stability, fairness, and respect built on a foundation of trust and where we administer society rules based on the rule of law.”

Sheriff David Clarke, Jr. RNC Convention Day 1 Speech

“These truths are self evident to me and these are truths that Donald Trump understands and supports.  Donald Trump is the steadfast leader that our nation needs.  He has spoken passionately about his belief in American justice and about the values of our social contract.  He has raised his voice not only in defense of American police officers but that all people are treated fairly by law enforcement.

“Donald Trump understands what make our county safe is a recommitment to a system of justice.    No private citizen, no elected officer even Hillary Clinton, no group of people can claim privilege above the law. It cannot happen in the United States.  The rule of law in America is strong.  We move forward in making America safe again.”

The message following Melania Trump was given by retired Lt. General Mike Flynn, author of “Field of Fight: How We Can Win the Global War Against Radical Islam and Its Allies” which was released last week (July 12th).

“My message is very clear,” said Mike Flynn, a registered Democrat but fierce critic of President Barack Obama, who previously ran the Defense Intelligence Agency before being forced out for challenging the President on military operations.  “Wake up America.

“America should not fear our enemies.  We should clearly define our enemies and face them head on and defeat those who seek to threaten our country and our way of life,” said Flynn.  “We know that America is the greatest country in the history of this world.   We must retreat from an Obama clone like Hillary Clinton and must draw from our rich foundation of our founding fathers.

“The Obama-Clinton duo failed America and betrayed our nation’s history and our founding fathers revolutionary spirit that established America on principles of freedom and democracy.  American exceptionalism was a core principle.  As Ronald Reagan said, ‘if we lose freedom here, there is no other place to escape to.’
