The evening was highlighted by Donald, Jr. who shared about “his mentor, my best friend, my father, Donald Trump, who will Make America Great Again.”  The 38-year-old, who is oldest of the five Trump children said, “We didn’t learn from those with MBA’s but we learned form people with doctorates in common sense.”

“We were fortunate to have choices or options that others don’t have,” said Donald Jr.  “We want all Americans to have those same opportunities.  Our schools use to be an elevator for the middle class, now they are stalled.”

“We need a President who can’t delete our problems but tackle them head on.  We want a President who will put our children first; a President who won’t bow and pander to nations that shudder at America’s existence; a President more concerned about Americans than those nations that wish to wipe America off the face of this earth; a President not beholden to special interests, foreign and domestic; a President who will secure our borders; a President who speaks his mind and says what needs to be said, not just what people want to hear.”

A blistering attack on former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was given by New Jersey Governor Chris Christie who spoke as a 14-year friend of Donald Trump.   To shouts from the delegates of “Lock her up,” Christie acted as a Special Prosecutor asking the delegates to act as a jury and determine if Hillary was guilty or not guilty.

Her offenses included:  Libya, Nigeria, China, Syria, Iran, Russia, Cuba and “here at home for risking  American secrets to keep her own secrets while lying to the American people.”

“We have an alternative, a man not afraid, a man who wants to lead us, a man who understands aspirations—Donald Trump.  Tonight those in this hall and people at home must stop Hillary Clinton and never allow her to get within 10 miles of he White House again.”

Dr. Ben Carson giving the final message of the night asked the American people to not “take the easy way out by listening to the political elite and media.” According to Carson, “A Hillary administration would not only last four years, maybe even eight years,” but would “have an effect for generations” due to judicial appointments made to the Supreme Court and federal courts.

“If we allow (Hillary) to take God out of our lives, our nation will go down the tubes.  Donald Trump understands.“  This election is about “we the people.  Thomas Jefferson said we would reach this point that we would allow government to grow and try to rule over us.  Now is the time to rise up and take America back.”

Theme of the second night of the GOP convention was “Make America Work Again.”

Speaking to the delegates was Chris Cox., executive director of the National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action.  “Eight years ago, the Supreme Court ruled that we had a fundamental right to defend ourselves in our homes.”  The Second Amendment was upheld “by just one vote.”

Cox said, “Hillary Clinton says the Supreme Court is wrong in regards to the 2nd Amendment.  With a Hillary Clinton Supreme Court, your right to own  a firearm is gone.  We will fight for your right to protect your life.”

Donald Trump in New York Tuesday, prepared a video to GOP delegates, “Today, has been a very special day watching my children put me over the top as we get the party nomination.  It was one year ago that I announced my candidacy for President.

“This is a movement.  We have to go all the way.  I am so proud to be the nominee for President.  We are going to win the Presidency and bring real leadership to Washington.  Together we are going to Make America Great Again.”
