Man arrested for threatening motel manager and housekeeper with knife

At nearly 3pm on Sunday afternoon, ambulance May 11th, cialis the Ventura Police Department Command Center received a call that a guest at the Motel 6 had brandished a knife at motel employees. The guest threatened the Motel’s manager, and a housekeeper, and a third employee hid in a room after witnessing the incident.

Responding officers arrived on scene within minutes of receiving the call. An investigation revealed the victim, the manager and housekeeper had gone to an upstairs to do a check the out reports of damage to a room. As they attempted to speak with the suspect from outside the room, he armed himself with a large folding knife and charged out the room after them. Both the manager and the housekeeper fled as the suspect chased after them threatening to kill them. As the manager and housekeeper fled the suspect went back into his room and closed the door.

Officers at the scene identified the suspect as 37 year old, Ryan McArthur. McArthur is currently on probation in Ventura County for brandishing a knife.

Utilizing K9 announcements McArthur was called to the door of his room where he was taken into custody without further incident.  McArthur was booked into Ventura County Jail for 245PC Assault with a Deadly Weapon.

No one was injured as a result of this incident.
