Man convicted of First Degree Murder in Grandmother’s Death

On July 1, 2012, 75-year old Isabel Hernandez was found stabbed to death in a pool of blood on her kitchen floor. Rios, her grandson, was the last person to see her alive. The murder was particularly heinous and the victim sustained significant defensive wounds while fighting for her life.
