Man shot and killed: Oxnard’s 11th homicide this year

prescription times;”>On Tuesday December 16, 2014 at approximately 8:08 p.m., officers from the Oxnard Police Department were dispatched to a shooting victim in the 1200 block of Felicia Court. When officers arrived, they located David Lara, a 28-year old Oxnard resident, lying on the grass suffering from a single gunshot wound. Emergency Medical Personnel attended to Lara for several minutes but he ultimately died as a result of his injury.

This is Oxnard’s eleventh homicide of the year and the third in the month of December. The Oxnard Police Department has dedicated all of the investigative resources of the Violent Crimes Unit and the Major Crimes Unit into around the clock investigations of these recent incidents. The City of Oxnard offers up to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of suspect(s) in homicide cases.
